India slams Pakistan for glorifying Hizbul Mujahideen leader Burhan Wani
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Gopal Baglay knocked Pakistan army chief for glorifying Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.
India today hit out at Pakistan for glorifying militant commander Burhan Wani, stating Islamabad’s horror support and sponsorship need to be condemned by one and all.
In a strongly worded tweet, External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Gopal Baglay said,” First @ForeignOfficePk checked out frm prohibited LeTs script. Now Pak COAS (Pakistan army chief) glorifies Burhan Wani. Pak’s fear support and sponsorship need to be condemned by one and all.”
Baglay’s comments came a day after Pakistan Army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa applauded Wani, Hizbul Mujahideen leader who was killed in an encounter with Indian security forces in 2015.
Burhan Wani was responsible for numerous attacks versus security personnel in Kashmir.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday commemorated Wani, saying his death “instilled a new spirit in the battle for freedom” in the Kashmir Valley.
