Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan shared interesting trivia as to why he named his movie and VFX making company Red Chillies Entertainment. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, the actor said: “Juhi (Chawla) once asked me, ‘Why have you titled your company, Red Chillies?’
And I was like, ‘just in case movie-making fails, I’ll open a restaurant by the same name as of my company. Red Chillies Restaurant toh chalega hi.” But, he didn’t need a Plan B to start with.
The Badshah actor’s company co-produces most of the movies he stars in – like Dear Zindagi and Happy New Year. Its visual effects studio has worked on movies like Krrish 3, Ra. One, Dil Dhadakne Do and Phillauri.
Shah Rukh, who was last seen in the movie Raees, also told HT that he is fond of cooking and owns several types of kitchen equipment.
“I seriously want to cook. Imagine, if I open a chain of restaurants, kitna business karunga main.” Of feminism, Shah Rukh said: “I know it sounds girlish. But then, I’m all for the empowerment of women around the world and I too love cooking. I want to be equal to women.
I want to go higher up to their level, despite thinking that they have to go higher,” reports HT.
In 2017 Shah Rukh will also be seen in the Imtiaz Ali’s yet-untitled movie which also has stars like Anushka Sharma.
The movie releases in April. Actor Shah Rukh also portrays a dwarf in director Aanand L Rai’s movie which will release later this year. And in between, he has a cameo in Salman Khan’s Tubelight, directed by the director Kabir Khan.
